Americanism and Government Survey Award

The purpose of this Americanism and Government Survey is "TO PROMOTE AN INTEREST IN ALL BRANCHES AND LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT."

All students in the twelfth grade (Seniors) of all public, parochial or private schools are eligible to participate. The examination will consist of fifty (50) fill in the blank type of questions and one (1) essay question. In coordination with the local post, schools are to give the examination between March 1st and April 1st.

The local post will select a winner from the local schools. The lwinner’s survey from each post will be forwarded to The American Legion of Montana for further competition on the state level. The winner from each school will receive a Certificate of Commendation. Each post may offer an award to its winner. In addtion, winners on the state level will receive the following:

• 1st Place — $250 Scholarship
• 2nd Place — $150 Scholarship
• 3rd Place — $100 Scholarship
