First Montana MIAP Internment
June 11, 2009
The Missing in America Project (MIAP) is a nation-wide non-profit organization whose mission is to locate, identify and verify the cremains of veterans being stored in funeral homes, crematoriums and state hospitals. To provide honor and respect for those who served this country. Montana will do just that on July 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
Montana’s first Missing in America Project mission will be held at Fort Harrison in Helena, MT. Two American Heroes , a WWII US Army veteran and a retired Air Force veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam will be interred with the assistance of Marty Malone, MIAP State Coordinator, Patriot Guard Riders, American Legion, Christian Motorcycle Association and others. Riders are expected from all over the state of Montana as well as surrounding states. All are welcome to attend.
This event is an historical one for Montana. However, many more ceremonies like this one will be done in the future.
For further information on this mission, please contact Marty Malone, MIAP MT State Coordinator at mdmal1@midrivers.com. Further information about the Missing in America Project/Veteran Recovery Program can be located on the organization's website: http://www.miap.us
